The iGo3 and iGo4 can be traced back to the same company that sells Vapor King. They are built using tank system technology similar to other ego kits, but many people claim they are way better than other ego models. So what is so special about the iGo3 and iGo4? I decided to try them both for myself and find out.

iGo3

Let’s start by looking at the iGo3. This kit is available in two options: a standard kit and an express kit. Here’s a rundown of what is included in each kit:

iGo3 E-Cigarette Kit – $75.00

• 2 high capacity smart batteries (650mAh)
• 2 clearomizers
• 1 USB/wall charger with touch charging base
• 2 bottles of e-liquid (10ml each)

iGo3 Express Kit – $49.95

• 1 high capacity smart battery (650mAh)
• 1 clearomizer
• 1 USB/wall charger with touch charging base
• 1 bottle of e-liquid (10ml)

Both of these kits offer some options for customization. You can choose between black and steel for your battery color. Clearomizers come in 7 different colors: clear, black, blue, green, red, yellow, and purple. The e-liquids range from 0-36mg and come in 40 flavors.

When I first received my iGo3, I was immediately impressed. The “smart” battery has three lights to show you how much time is left on your battery charge. Basically, it turns green when it’s fully charged up (1-700 puffs used). After 700 puffs, it switches to orange, which is basically a warning that your charge is getting low. After 750 puffs, it turns red, indicating that you’ve almost reached your maximum of 800 puffs and need to recharge the battery right away.

One of my favorite things about this kit is the charger. I have never seen an e-cig charger quite like this one. Basically, you plug the whole thing in and then you sit your fully assembled iGo3 on the charging pad. When you put your e-cig on the charger pad, it automatically charges the battery thanks to “touch” technology. Pretty awesome, huh?

In terms of vapor production and throat hit, I felt like the iGo3 was pretty typical for an ego system. There was nothing really negative about it, but it didn’t really stand out either. Overall, it’s a good system for an affordable price. Now let’s move on to the iGo4…

iGo4

For everything that is average about the iGo3, there is nothing typical about the iGo4. This e-cig really delivers in terms of battery power and vapor. You can choose from two kits:

iGo4 Express Kit: $54.95

• 1 high capacity smart battery (750mAh)
• 1 clearmizer (2.5ml or 1.6ml)
• 1 USB/wall charger with touch charging base
• 1 bottle of e-liquid (10ml)

iGo4 E-Cigarette Kit: $85.00

• 2 LED display smart batteries (750mAh)
• 2 clearomizers (2.5ml or 1.6ml)
• 1 USB/wall charger with touch charging base
• 2 bottles of e-liquid (10ml each)

So what is the difference between the iGo3 and the iGo4? First, the new iGo4 gives you the option of a bigger tank. The new 2.5ml tank holds much more than the original 1.6ml. Basically, the iGo4 is bigger and better with everything. It offers a bigger tank, high capacity batteries, and an all new LED display to show specific information about how many puffs you have used and how many remain before you need to recharge.

I love that the iGo4 lasts for 1000 puffs. That’s 200 puffs more than the iGo3. The bigger tank system also gives you more flexibility with eliquid. It was super easy to refill the iGo4. There is no need to mess with syringes when you need a refill and cause people to look at you funny in public! Who needs that kind of hassle?! It only took me about 5 seconds to refill it and I only filled it about half way. Just as a rule, I generally only fill my tanks to the half way point because it keeps me from accidentally overfilling and ending up with a mess or wasted e-liquid.

Vapor production on the iGo4 is really wonderful. I would say this is definitely an advanced ego model and falls way above average for a tank system. It also comes with the same cool touch charger that you get with the iGo3. The more I’ve used this charger, the more I love it. It’s the ultimate in convenience really. You don’t have to waste time taking apart your e-cig and screwing it into a charger. Just keep the charger plugged in on your desk and then plop your iGo4 down on the charging pad when the battery gets low. It charges quickly and when it’s done, you just pick it up and start vaping again.

Another big perk for both the iGo3 and iGo4 would be the great flavor varieties. When I use any kind of ego system, I like to keep several clearomizers with me so I can switch out flavors. The iGo e-liquids have some really awesome flavor choices. There are 9 different tobacco flavors and I love how some of them are directly comparable to popular cigarette brands. For instance, the USA Mix is made for Marlboro smokers and the Desert Ship is comparable to Camel.

Menthol lovers also have good options with three different menthol flavors including clove. If you like your e-liquid fruity, there are 9 fruit flavors: cherry, strawberry, apple, blueberry, kiwi, melon, orange, grape, and watermelon.

You can also get four “Fusion” flavors: chocolate raspberry, caramel mocha, chocolate banana, and apple cinnamon cranberry. If none of those suit you, check out the 14 Drink and Dessert Flavors: Cappuccino, Cherry Cola, Champagne, Root Beer Float, Pina Colada, lemonade, Red Bull, Green Dew, Chocolate, Vanilla, Cotton Candy, Pancake, Pumpkin Pie, and Hazelnut.

The Bottom Line

Ultimately, I would rank the iGo3 as very impressive, but similar to any other ego model. On the other hand, I would say the iGo4 is definitely the better choice. It has bigger batteries, higher voltage, and the best vapor production of any ego I’ve every tried. With the iGo4 surpassing the big brands in vapor production, I’d say that Vapor King finally lived up to its name!

Overall, I’m not a huge ego fan because I think messing with eliquid is just a hassle. But if you really want to use e-liquids, go with the iGo4. It’s the best system I’ve tried in terms of ease of use, vapor production, and overall experience.
