Are you shopping for an e-cigarette kit and feeling overwhelmed by all of the options? We’re going to make it easy to find the perfect electronic cigarette with the help of a simple e-cig comparison chart. Here’s how it works… Just select the kits you are most interested in from any review on our website. We will automatically generate a comparison chart for you so it’s easy to see how they compare with our five top rated ecig kits within the same price range.

It’s never been so easy to find the e-cig that has all of the options you need. Check out the chart to see how each kit stacks up against the competition and compare important features like how many cartridges are included, color options, flavor selections, and accessories.

How it Works

When you select a starter kit, it will appear in the first column on the chart. If you visit this page directly, then the first column will show you our top rated ecig starter kit instead. The next five columns will show you other top rated starter kits in the same price range that might be a good choice. You will find the brand name at the top of each column and various features are displayed on each row. If you ever have questions about a particular row, just click on the row’s title and it will take you directly to a full description.

Kit Options: See a small photo of each kit or click on any individual picture to get a larger image from the manufacturer’s website.

Brand: View the logo for each brand represented by the starter kits in each column. Click on any brand to visit that e-cig company’s website.

Kit Name: This is the exact name of the starter kit, as designated by the brand.

More Info: To get more details about any starter kit, simply click on the “Visit Site” icon and you will be redirected to the product page for that kit.

E-Cig Type: Find out what kind of e-cig each kit contains. We narrow this down to two primary categories: cartomizer designs and 3-piece designs.

Cartomizer: The cartomizer design is a popular two-piece option that is the top seller among most popular e-cig manufacturers. Each of these kits include two separate sections: a rechargeable battery and a cartomizer, which is a flavored nicotine cartridge with a built in atomizer. As the battery sends power to your cartomizer, the atomizer heats up the nicotine liquid in the cartridge and converts it into vapor that you inhale as you puff on your e-cig.

3-Piece Design: Electronic cigarettes with a three-piece design feature separate cartridges and atomizers. This design was really popular in the beginning stages of e-cigs, but many vapers still prefer a three-piece design. Some vapers feel that a separate atomizer provides better performance than the combined cartomizer, but this style does require more cleaning and regular maintenance. It also requires a more complicated assembly. Without proper care, three-piece designs will give poor performance and very little vapor.

Switch Types: Electronic cigarette batteries are equipped with automatic or manual switches. In the automatic options, the battery immediate powers on when you draw on the e-cig, much like a normal cigarette.

The manual switch requires the user to click a button to turn the e-cig on and off. The automatic switch is typically designed with an automatic cutout after drawing in vapor for a few seconds. On the other hand, manual switches allow the vapor to draw unlimited vaper with no safety cut off feature. New users typically do better with the automatic switch because it is more intuitive and simple to use. Plus, it allows the recommended amount of nicotine to be dispensed with each puff. For the average e-cig user, you never even notice the safety cut off feature. However, heavy vapers might prefer the manual switch.

Battery Size: The column explains the battery sizes that are included in each starter kit. We’ve broken down the options into four sizes and each one offers a unique vaping experience.

Standard: This battery is about the size of a typical King analog cigarette.
Mini: The mini battery is a little smaller than the average cigarette.
Long: The long battery is around the length of 100’s tobacco cigarettes.
Vaporizer: These batteries are much larger than analog cigarettes. Typically, these e-cigs feature tank style devices for more advanced vapers.

Ultimately, you have to select a battery size based on weight and performance. The larger batteries will be a little heavier, but they will also last longer and sometimes provide more powerful vapor. However, the smaller batteries are much more comfortable for smokers that are just starting to transition to e-cigarettes.

Battery Color: Different ecig brands provide different color choices in their kit designs. In this section, you will see small icons that represent various colors and patterns that are available for any given kit.

Batteries In Kit: This section displays how many batteries are included in a starter kit. We recommend that you choose a kit with at least two batteries for ultimate convenience.

Cartridges in Kit: Each brand includes a varied amount of cartridges in the starter kits. This section allows you to see how many cartridges are included with the kit.

Wall Charger: This section displays whether the kit includes a unit to charge the e-cig battery from a wall socket. Some e-cigs require you to attack a USB charger to the wall charger in order for it to properly connect. If that is the case, the necessary USB cable is also included in the kit.

USB Charger: This section displays if the kit includes a USB charger to power up your e-cig from a USB port on your computer. Keep in mind that some wall chargers will require this USB cable for use so you cannot use the two components to charge two batteries at the same time.
Car Charger: This section displays whether the starter kit includes a charger customized for a 12V car-charging unit. Like the wall charger, these components often require the USB charger to operate so you cannot simultaneously charge two batteries using both chargers.
Personal Charging Case (PCC): The PCC is a fantastic feature for busy vapers because it allows you to charge batteries on the go. Once the case is fully charged, you can insert your batteries inside and the case will charge them up while they are in storage. Most PCC’s are small enough to fit in your pocket and they are convenient accessories to make sure you always have a charged e-cig battery on hand.
Case: This section displays whether a standard case is included in the kit. Note that these cases do not charge batteries, but are simply designed for e-cig storage.
Pass Through: Sometimes called “Power Cigs”, these batteries are designed with an attached wire that connects to a USB port. While you must be connected to a power source to use this battery, it often provides more consistent and powerful vaper than stand alone batteries. This option is perfect for someone that spends a lot of time confined to a desk or working on the laptop. It can also sometimes be used in conjunction with a car charger for continuous power.

Cartridge Strengths: Each brand offers a different variety of nicotine strengths, but to streamline the chart, we have grouped them into six distinct nicotine levels.

0 mg = No Nicotine
6 mg = Ultra-Light
12 mg = Smooth
18 mg = Full
24 mg = Strong
36 mg = Ultra Strong

No. Cart Flavors: This section shows how many different cartridge flavors are available for use with this kit. Keep in mind that these flavors might not be included with the kit, but they are available for purchase in addition to the kit. This number will include common cartridge flavors as noted below along with additional flavors that are unique to the particular brand.

Common Cartridge Flavors: While each brand offers a unique variety of flavors, we developed a list of the 15 most common flavors in top rated brands. Each brand could offer flavors not listed here, but these are the flavors that are most often available from e-cig manufacturers. You can view additional options by visiting a brand’s website. Some manufacturers such as V2 Cigs will even accept orders for custom flavor creations as long as you buy a certain quantity.

The 15 common flavors compared on our chart include: American Tobacco, Traditional Tobacco, Smooth Tobacco, Turkish Tobacco, Menthol, Peppermint, Cherry, Chocolate, Coffee, Pineapple, Vanilla, Strawberry, Peace, Apple, and Cinnamon.

Cost Per Cartridge: This is the price of each individual cartridge when you factor in the price for a pack of cartridges divided by the number of cartridges included. This column will show the price difference between various brands, but keep in mind that greater savings are sometimes possible by buying cartridges in bulk quantities.

Warranty: This section shows what kind of warranty each brand offers of their starter kits. Always read the fine print to insure that you get the best possible coverage on your starter kits. Keep in mind that even lifetime warranties may have conditions, such as the requirement that you have made direct purchases from the brand within a stated period of time.

User Score: This is the overall average score that our reader reviews gave to the brand.

Price: This is the retail price for each starter kit. Keep in mind that you can get lower prices by using our exclusive coupons at checkout. From time to time, each manufacturer will also mark down prices for temporary sales and promotions.

Full Review: This is our complete analysis of each starter kit, complete with reader reviews and opinions. Read the full review to get a more detailed look at how each e-cigarette performs in real life.
